



Due to unforseen circumstances, regretably, the CJ-6 must go.
A lot of work has been done to the plane over the past year and just a bit more needs to be done to get this fine plane flying.

What's been done
95% stripped of paint. Part of the bottom of the fuselage left to strip.
Oil System:
Oil cooler serviced. Oil lines replaced. Oil filter rebuilt. Temp sensors serviced. Oil tank serviced, stripped and painted. Felt pads repalced on oil tank.
Firewall:
All check valves inspected, serviced and reinstalled. Fuel filter rebuilt and painted. All air and fuel lines removed, stripped, painted, burnished and reinstalled. Air system bleed bottle stripped, rebuilt, painted and reinstalled. Air dryer cylinder needs to be replaced due to corrosion. Everything saftey wired.
Engine:
Prop & Hub serviced and primed. Air intake box stripped, rebuilt, repainted, new felt seal, reinstalled, temp probe cleaned, inspected and reinstalled. Exhaust system removed, aluminum oxide blasted, ceramic painted and reinstalled. Engine mount arms removed, aluminum oxide blasted, painted and reinstalled. Wiring stripped of old fabric wrap and re-wrapped with Flame-Gaurd silicone tape.
Cockpit:
All instruments removed. Instrument panels and counsole panels removed, aluminum oxide blasted and painted. Gyro & fusebox removed. Seats removed. Back seat is stripped and painted. Front seat partially stripped. Front cockpit has the stick removed, stripped & repainted. Rudder peddles stripped, inspected, painted, greased, reassembled and reinstalled. Front seat height adjustment lever reomved, stripped, inspected and painted. Mag swithches rebuilt & repainted. All throttle quadrants, fuel pump and fuel shutoff, stripped, cleaned, greased and reassembled. Floor panels have been sprayed with bed linear.
Battery Compartment:
Both air bottles are removed, stripped and repainted. They will need hydro testing. Bottle straps are repainted and have new felt pads. The compartment has been degreased. Control cables inspected.
Landing Gear:
Gear has been serviced and painted. New brakes and tires.
Airframe:
This plane is straight and ture. Beautiful anodized surfaces inside and out. No corrosion. Front and rear canopies are removed and in original condition. These are in usable condition and one has a small crack stop drilled. The front windscreen and frame is removed. Frame has new leather seal and has been primed. Center canopy section still remains on aircraft.
Control Surfaces:
Rudder and elevators have been stripped, serviced and inspected. Trim tab control rods cleaned, painted and greased. One trim tab replaced. Rudder and one elevator are covered in Poly-fiber. Half of the other elevator is covered at this time. This will be completed for the sale of the plane. Ailerons are still on the wings and in their original condition.
