Bob Davis, owner of dp Davis Productions, has been working in network television production for more than 27 years.

Starting off as a cameraman in the late 70's, he freelanced for the major television networks and then fledgling cable networks. Progressing through the years he had many opportunities and made the most of them. From working as an Associate Director, Director and Producer in sports broadcasting, Bob was able to see and mesh the needs of the production teams and the technical aspects of the show achieving the highest quality broadcast.

With his keen understanding of what was required by production teams and a strong technical background, in an ever changing technical field, Bob became a Technical Producer. In this role, Bob was involved in and oversaw some of the largest television events in the world. Including the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, The Olympics, PGA Golf and much more which are listed on the credits page.

Bob went on to become Director of Technical Operations, NBC Olympics, a key member of the networks Olympic operations. He was with a small advance group that would be in the Olympic host city for two years prior to the games. From overseeing both venue and studio engineering and operations to acquisition of real estate and Olympic and governmental relations. It was an all encompassing role. A face of the network in a distant country.

During his career Bob has been very fortunate and honored to have been awarded 4 Emmy's, a true testament to his accomplishments by his peers and industry.

As with anyone in a creative field, they are looking for something new and fresh. For Bob, that was to step away from the mega shows and pursue interests close to him. Coming from an Air Force family (yes, the logo is of his dad) and being a skydiver and pilot it was natural that his first project be aviation based. The documentary, Champions of the Air: Rare Bear was a true labor of love and riveting story.

This is of Lt. Colonel Roy A. Davis, Bob's dad. He was a lifer as a pilot in the US Air Force. Bob got his sense of adventure and interest in production from his dad. Colonel Davis did the flying for the MGM movie, Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo. The story of Jimmy Doolittle's raid on Tokyo during WWII.
